The Brief:
A rapidly growing business in the very competitive home-entertainment market, whereby RC cars are becoming an increasingly popular product and RC Geeks are looking to accelerate their presence online. Upon a site re-platform, RC Geeks wanted to introduce and implement a stronger digital marketing strategy, to increase traffic, conversion, and brand awareness online.
Having only dipped their toes into pay-per-click and basic SEO, RC Geeks were looking to understand ways in which they can better target and reach new customers, and capture their key audience, increasing the traffic to the RC Geeks website.
RC Geeks were also keen to understand how they could increase their conversion across all digital marketing channels, through the use of a more structured digital marketing approach whereby they could run marketing campaigns throughout the year.
The Strategy:
Having researched the market and the current digital marketing activity, it was clear that there was a huge opportunity for us to deliver a full digital proposal of how we could execute a strategy that would adhere to the key objectives set, to increase traffic by 15%+ and conversion by 0.2%.
Furthermore, we saw a key opportunity to create a clear and concise marketing plan, to create the direction of where and how RC Geeks could utilise and run brand and seasonal integrated marketing campaigns.
Optimisation and increasing their paid search presence, utilising their social media platforms, and relaunching their CRM communications were all fundamental elements to the tailored strategy, which would enable RC Geeks to achieve their objectives.
The paid search audit enabled us to research, analyse and provide valuable insights and recommendations for optimisation whilst our Social Media Strategy included bespoke plans across both paid and organic advertising. Furthermore, re-engaging with customers both old and new, was integral the to launch of an ongoing email communication plan.
The Results:
The results of implementing and optimising a full digital marketing strategy across the RC Geeks website, paid search, email marketing and social platforms helped RC Geeks to deliver +29% traffic YoY and increase conversion +24% too.
Effectively this meant that orders and revenue were considerably up YoY which exceeded all expectations of RC Geeks and ultimately the budget of KPI’s which were in place.
